This season, John Zucca draws deep from the psycholog- ical drama Female Perversions, where themes of societal pressure, self-perception, and liberation resonate in a world shaped by patriarchal expectations.
The FW2526 collection explores the journey from inter- nalized shame and competitive anxiety to healing and empowerment, capturing the complexity of identity in garments that defy traditional gender norms.
Here, each piece becomes a nar- rative of resilience, an armor for navigating the nuanced spaces between personal strength and societal expectations.
Concept Vision:
In this collection, John Zucca redefines sensuality and gen- der expression for both women and unisex audiences. In- stead of conforming to rigid gender constructs or the male gaze, the designs celebrate individual power, autonomy, and self-expression. Drawing from Female Perversions, the collection emphasizes the liberation of women from patriarchal norms by introducing menswear-inspired pieces that transcend traditional roles and shift toward unisex, adaptable fashion.
Unisex Collection:
Fluid, Structured Silhouettes: Embracing non-binary cuts, the unisex line marries structured tailoring with soft draping. Asymmetrical blazers, adjustable trou- sers, and oversized shirts reflect the tension between conformity and individuality, making each piece flexi- ble for any gender.
Drawstring Details:
To accommodate diverse body types and en- hance wearability, drawstrings are incorporated into trousers, coats, and tunics. This adjustabili- ty represents empowerment through self-deter- mination and allows each wearer to craft their own fit.
